How to apply
The office walks you through each one, and you can stop and ask at any point.
Book a campus tour or call the office. Walk the floor, meet an instructor and ask anything you like.
Fill in the application with the office. Bring a photo ID and your school records; the office tells you what else the state asks for.
Sit down with the office to choose a track, a start date and how you will pay. A deposit holds your seat and goes toward tuition.
Pick up your kit, meet your class and your instructor, and begin on the first Monday.
How you learn
You start where every barber starts: a practice head, a clipper and an instructor beside you.
When your instructor says you are ready, you move to the clinic floor and cut clients, with an instructor checking the work before it leaves the chair. The last weeks are built around the state exam: practice written tests and timed run-throughs of the skills it tests.
